Over a month ago the BBC broke a huge story about stolen Amazon land being
illegally sold on Facebook Amazon rainforest plots sold via Facebook Marketplace ads

One month on and Facebook continues to wash their hands of this problem.
Land grabbers are making huge profits, and the tech giant seems happy turning a blind eye to these crimes against Indigenous people and the environment.

We can't let Facebook get away with this. We've got to show them that we're not going anywhere until they take some responsibility.

Can you help us grow this petition, so we can't be ignored? It's time for us to make noise on this again, so Facebook knows we can't be silenced. The more people who sign the petition, the stronger our voice will be.

Thanks for all that you do,

How does a petrol pump measure the the petrol it dispenses ?

This photo
a petrol pump console
shows a sticker added to a petrol pump display so that it reads "PRICE PER LITRE @15°C".

Assuming the sticker is authoritative and ignoring the widespread misuse of the "at each" symbol,
the qualification suggests that at other temperatures the price per litre may be different.
That in turn implies that the dispensed petrol is not measured by volume.

A quick online search suggests that the meters in petrol pumps do measure volume.
Thus I'm guessing the sticker is wrong. Does anyone know better ?

[ If you can't see the photo it may because I have used the "new" .avif file format.
I would be interested to hear about browsers that do not show it. ]
