Camera Security ? Windows 10 latest update
Thursday, 15 April 2021 01:39 pmFrom the announcement of Windows 10 21H1:
https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2021/02/17/introducing-the-next-feature-update-to-windows-10-version-21h1/
New features include multicamera support for Windows Hello and security related performance improvements.
Windows Hello multicamera support to set the default as the external camera when both external and internal Windows Hello cameras are present.
So if you have two cameras, it will use facial recognition on the *removable* camera to log you in.
Convenient, sure. But it also makes it much easier to replace the login camera with one looking at a photo of a legitimate user.
At least make the default the internal one so that anyone wanting to be insecure has to do it deliberately ?
