I've just done something I haven't done for nearly twenty years

... I mowed the lawn.

I used a strimmer - possibly for the first time - and a push-mower.
I think i tried a push mower once before: when i was five !

Terminology

Haven't heard the word "strimmer" since I left the UK. Over here, they're called "weed-eaters." When you say "push-mower" do you mean one that's solely powered by human effort? Over here, that term's passe. A "push mower" here is a motorized one that is pushed from behind, rather than the sort that looks like a little tractor and is ridden upon. I haven't seen an actually pushable mower in donkey's years. I tried to find one to buy in VA, and found a metal-framed thing that cost nearly as much as the petrol-powered ones. Ugh!
